Your room is personal.
How the current NookMallow beta handles your information. Updated November 5, 2026.
What stays in your browser
Your room photos, inspiration, brief, saved designs and product references are saved in your browser’s local database. There is no NookMallow account or cross-device sync. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to view saved rooms. Clear NookMallow site data in your browser to remove local copies.
What is sent to provide a design
When you generate a design, NookMallow sends your room photos, optional inspiration, brief and relevant product references through its server to OpenAI to analyze and generate images. Generated room images may be sent again to locate products and create close-ups. Requests are processed using OpenAI’s API; provider handling and retention are subject to its policies.
We send your US country setting and ZIP, search preferences and product identifiers to the Shopify catalog to search and refresh products. We do not request a full home address. Product images are retrieved from merchant image hosts.
Service records
The service keeps operational run identifiers, status, timestamps and request-limit records. Rate-limit identifiers are hashed from connection information. Product-link clicks may record the merchant and category; a click does not establish that you made a purchase. Hosting and service providers may also process technical connection information.
Stores and support
When you follow a product link, that store’s own privacy and checkout policies apply. If you email support, your address, message and attachments are used to respond. Share only the information needed to explain your issue.
